First-timers... all you need to know is here:
A handful of experienced women put together their must-have lists for the summer! Use their expertise to answer all the questions you may have.
Your apartment will come furnished with the following: a bed (queens for married
people, twin for single reps and children), nightstand, kitchen table,
couch, end tables, washer and dryer, kitchen table and chairs and a

Note: A lot of people just go to Wal Mart and the Dollar Store when they get out there and buy a
lot of this stuff. (i.e. you can get plastic plates, bowls and cups for about $.50 a piece at Wal
Mart so we eat off those all summer!) A lot of veterans are in this job for the long run, so they buy a
bunch of this stuff and keep it in a bin labeled “Summer Stuff!” That way they're not repacking it every year.

Optional Extras to Pack:
iPad/kindle/books/games/etc (anything to keep you entertained!)
Football/Soccer Ball/Frisbee/whatever is your thing!
Laptop
Knocking Binder
Cookbooks
Any hobbies you may have (girls this is important, the days get long! Be prepared with
something you like to do to keep busy!)
Vacuum/your own cleaning supplies (This is not supplied so be sure to bring your own or buy
one out there if you are going to need it!)
Beach Bag (pack stuff in it and then use it once you are out there!)
Cooler
Garbage Cans (pack stuff in it and use once out there!)
Laundry Basket (ditto!)
-small Fans (for noise mostly)
-Humidifier
-tape
-tacks
-blankets to hang in windows
-extra checkbooks and banking needs
-a roll or two of toilet paper to get you by until you remember to get some at the store
-hand soap
-I put a lot of my liquid things (shampoo, detergent, sunscreen) in a trash container with a liner in. That way if any of those things leak it will be contained and not on any important items. I also put any oils or anything in ziplocks so that if they do leak (and they always do) they are super contained.
-mattress cover (like an eggshell) if you already have one.
REMEMBER!!
There is a lot of stuff you can buy in the area if you are tight on space. Most people tend to
overpack on everything (especially clothing!) Think ‘minimal’ because in reality, you will NOT
use a lot of what you bring out there. If you only use it once or twice a month, don’t bring it. You
can go a few months without it! Plus with 30+ other people out there, chances are someone
else may have it to borrow! :) Check the weather for the hi’s and low’s when it comes to packing
for yourself. Also, there are 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments that we will be in! Coordinate with
your roommates on who is bringing what (toaster, broom, etc!) so you save on space!
Also, a fellow Vivint friend just posted his top favorite Audio Books to listen to on the drive out
there! Thought some of you may be interested.
